The Industrial Automation Specialist is primarily responsible for set up and programming of auxiliary part and runner removal as well as packaging equipment.
Responsibilities: Performs the installation and set up of auxiliary part removal and packaging equipment; programs auxiliary equipment and their controls; designs and develops new systems including visual inspection stations; performs the installation, configuration and production phases of operating systems and application software; and provides ongoing support of production equipment.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. A two-year technical degree in electronics, technology, or computers is preferred. Understanding of auxiliary equipment, software, and network infrastructure is required. Experience with robotics, PLC’s programming, and panel building is preferred. Candidate must be innovative and have problem solving skills. Knowledge of molding machines, molds, and other equipment used in the plastic injection molding process is helpful.
