Amgen is searching for a Senior Associate, IS Business Systems Analyst. The Senior Associate IS Business Systems Analyst will support Amgen’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, and report to the Senior Manager Finance IS/GBS and will be based in Tampa, FL, at Amgen’s new Capability Center.

Primary responsibilities will include:
Coordinating efforts in developing and implementing improvements to Amgen’s Financial Planning & Reporting (FPR) system
Supporting the FP&A budget and forecast activities from the system perspective; activities include updating metadata, preparing planning applications through substitution variable setting, maintaining files for data mapping, and validating data loads related to Actuals and Budget/Forecast/LRP
Ensuring data integrity and accuracy in FPR; understanding data relationship and data flow between various systems including SAP, EDW and FPR
Proactively recognizing issues, helping translate business requirements and communicating with IS to drive for resolution
Participating in Finance system project teams as a liaison between business (FP&A) and IS
Designing and creating ad hoc financial reports upon request
Reviewing and processing system access requests; performing periodic access review
Bachelor’s degree AND 2 years of information systems experience
Associates degree AND 6 years of information systems experience
High school diploma/GED AND 8 years of information systems experience
Familiarity with data warehousing (Teradata), SQL query, as well as Hyperion Planning and Reporting administration; SAP/BW is a plus
3 or more years of business experience in systems design/implementation projects and/or production support including customization, automation, and programming
An understanding of corporate and functional Finance business processes and requirements is also a plus
Applicant should be energetic, detail oriented, highly motivated with a “can do” outlook
Proven ability to work effectively in teams and manage various projects under time pressure
A strong understanding of database concepts and ability to navigate through various star-schemas also highly preferred
Candidate should have strong analytical skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new applications readily.
