Help Desk Technician – Springfield
The Information and Technology Services Department of Southwest Baptist University is seeking a Help Desk Technician for the Springfield campus whose primary function is to provide support to faculty, staff, and students by identifying and providing solutions to technology related issues. The main SBU campus is located in Bolivar, Missouri, with additional branch campuses in Springfield, Salem, and Mountain View.
The Help Desk Technician must clearly communicate technical solutions in a clear, user-friendly, and professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed; and assist the Lead Help Desk Technician in providing solutions in a timely manner. The Help Desk Technician works closely with other areas of Information and Technology Services to provide solutions.
The ideal candidate will have work experience in customer service, experience with and knowledge of personal computers and software, and a high school diploma. A computer-related degree from a two/four-year college or certificate/diploma from a technical school and one year experience in customer service or help desk support would be preferred.
